Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
